So...if you had your own kind of theme music that followed you around everywhere you went....what kind would you have?

  • Friday The Thirteenth

Today is one of the Friday The 13ths that happens in the year.  I find it amusing how a single movie/series has turned a random day in to one of superstition and dread.  Before the movies with Jason there is no evidence that Friday the 13th had any significance at all.  Random things that make you go......hmmm...

Well today was one of those days for me...shorthanded at the day job....problems with the computers and a busy day on top of all that...then at the other day got caught blindsided by some information concerning some territorial issues at the Big EU that some higher ups decided was not important to pass a long....however....it became kind of a big deal...sleep will be welcomed tonight!

On a side note, my birthday occasionally falls on a friday the 13th....nothing bad has ever happened....not yet anyways

  • What's your birthday?

Interesting little thing to do if you got five minutes of your life to waste.....

Go to Wikipedia.com and enter your birthdate and see what kind of interesting things come up....

Was the original Super Mario Brothers released no your birthday?  It was mine....

Any mind-boggling peace treaties signed on your birthday....Israelis and Palestinians signed one on mine (It didn't take too well)

Oh yeah...and Tupac Shakur died on my birthday too...that was interesting...along with a Roman Emperor in 81 AD.

Anyways...just something curious to try out!

  • Did you know....

I was listening to the radio earlier today when I heard an interesting fact....In the southwest (possibly southern cali) they add female turkey vulture scent to the gas.  That way if there is a gas leak they can find it faster by just looking for the circling male turkey vultures in the air....

  • The Purina Diet

    The Purina Diet
    >
    > I was in Wal-Mart buying a large bag of Purina for my dog Lola and was in line
    > to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog........ Duh!
    >
    > I was feeling a bit crabby so on impulse, I told her no, I was starting
    > The Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended
    > up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I
    > awakened in an intensive care unit with tubes coming out of most of my
    > orifices and IV's in both arms. Her eyes about bugged out of her
    > head.
    >
    > I went on and on with the bogus diet story and she was totally buying
    > it. I told her that it was an easy, inexpensive diet and that the way
    > it works is to load your pockets or purse with Purina nuggets and simply
    > eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The package said the food is
    > nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.
    >
    > I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now
    > enthralled with my story, particularly a tall guy behind her.
    >
    > Horrified, she asked if something in the dog food had poisoned me and
    > was that why I ended up in the hospital?
    >
    > I said no.....I'd been sitting in the street licking my butt when a car hit me.
    >
    > I thought the tall guy was going to have to be carried out the door.

  • 123 out of 239 Movies

What is sad...is that I've seen way more movies than this...however this list doesn't get any of the older movies and misses out on a lot of the good ones.  It does mention a lot of the movies that I regretted watching...anyways...something to do if you are bored.

SUPPOSEDLY if you've seen over 85 of these movies, you have no life. Mark the ones you've seen. There are 239 movies on this list. Copy this list mail, go to your own facebook account, paste this as a note. Then, put x's next to the movies you've seen, add them up, change the header adding your number, and click post at the bottom. Have fun!

  • Keep Da Brain Healthy and Having Fun Doing It

20 Enteraining Things to Do to Keep Your Brain Healthy

1:  At lunch time sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hair dryer at passing cars.  See if they slow down!

    2.  Page yourself over the intercom...don't disguise your voice.

    3. Whenever anyone asks you for something ask them "Do you want fries with that?"

    4. Put your trash can on your desk at work and label it "In Box"

    5. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 week.  Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine addiction switch to expresso.

    6.  In the memo field of all your checks write "For Sumggling Drugs"

    7.  Finish all your sentences with "In Accordance With Prophecy!"

    8.  Don't use any punctuation.

    9.  As often as possible, skip rather than walk.

    10.  Order a diet water whenever you go out to eat, with a serious face.

    11. Specify that your drive through order is "To Go"

    12.  Sing along at the opera.

    13.  Go to a poetry recital and ask "Why don't the poems rhyme?"

    14.  Put mosquito neetting around your work ara and play tropical sounds all day!  (I like this one a lot!)

    15.  Five days in advance tell you friends you can't attend their party because you're not in the mood.

    16.  Have you co-workers address you by your wrestling name "Rock Bottom"

    17.  When the money comes out of the ATM scream "I WON!! I WON!!"

    18.  When leaving the Zoo, start running towards the parking lot yelling "Run for your lives! THEY'RE LOOSE!!" (This might actually get you in trouble....but the thought is very amusing)

    19.  Tell your children over dinner "Due to the economy we are going to have to let one of you go."

    20. Sign up for a big brother/big sister program and tell them you are going to take them to Disney World.  Then drive up infront of a burned out farm and tell them "Disney World must have burned down!"

On a side note today is International Day of Water as declared by the UN.  In dedication to this day and to the UN I would like to share this photo:

  • So the other day my friend lost his grandmother...the sadness of loss brings back the reality of this life and what it's all about....Please say a prayer for their family

  • Sunny Days and Dentists

sunrise Today being a gorgeous sunny day brings about a strong desire for spring to be here soon.  I'm sure we'll have a few more freezing days...but until then I'm going to soak up this sunshine!  Had to go to the dentist today...was afraid he was going to tell me I had cavaties but he said I had none....havn't been to the dentist in like 5 years....so that was a relief!  All in all...it was a beautiful day today.

I've also noticed that xanga usage has dropped dramatically...it seems facebook has taken over.  Whatever works I guess...

  • Bank Of America

Has recently made it easier for non-citizens of the not registered kind (illegal aliens or whatever term you prefer to use) to acquire credit cards.  The way they can do this is by opening a checking account/savings account and having it for 3 weeks and then they can apply for a credit card with out a social security number.  That's the basic idea anyways...I don't know all the exact details....

Here is one serious problem with the whole situation....how did the terrorists take flying lessons, buy lessons, and do everything else they had to do to carry out their plans?  With money...Well a non-registered credit card makes it a whole lot easier for individuals to come into the country under the radar and gain quicker and larger purchasing power with out even having to bother with getting a fake id....The other side of it is that if a terrorist does charge 5,000 on supplies...and then blows himself up or something else up.  He obviously doesn't have to pay it back because he'll be dead or he'll be in jail.  Who absorbs the fraudulent charges?  Essentially...American citizens who pay money to the corporations that insure the company.  Anyways...just kind of an interesting situation that is way more complex than simple border crossing....

Then again...is any issue in life ever simple?

I don't really have strong opinions on the situation one way or another....I'm just passing through this world...I know if I lived in Mexico in a poverty situation...I would probably trying to be able to find a way to cross the border myself.  Does that make it right?  No...but it's real.  When I did get here I would probably be trying to get an account with Bank Of America so I could have a more normal life like everyone else in America.  As an American...I am cancelling my credit card with Bank of America like many people are doing.  Anyways I thought I would just post some current news issue for all those who don't watch the news

    Have a great day!
