  • Well...today I gave plasma for the first time....it wasn't bad...and to those who don't really know anything about it...it's like giving blood.  The plasma is used for medicine and hospital purposes.  The only difference between the places that pay you for your plasma and the Red Cross is:  The Red Cross takes your blood...separates the plasma and blood and sells the plasma to the hospitals separately.  Plasma donation centers collect your blood..separate the plasma out of it and put the blood cells back in your body right away...and they pay you for it.  Then they too sell the plasma to the hospitals...so really no difference...  So...I can get like 50 bucks a week for about 2 hours of my time.


    On a side note...I want to take several road trips...here is a map of the trips I want to take....



    6 trips in total....4 in the US....1 that goes down to the southern tip of South America and 1 that goes around the world (with the aid of a few ships ofcourse)


    Granted it will probably never happen...but it would be fun!

  • I would give plasma, but I cant give blood on account of having had malaria. The money would have come in handy.
    I hear you on those road trips too...travelling is in my blood and my blood is crying out for more.

  • When I was little I never ever ever showered( I did take baths occassionally):D and I never shower when I'm camping...thats like, pointless:D Around the world:D that would be so stinkin' fun!!!! I wanna go to Africa really bad, never been there...
