Anyone have any leads on part time day jobs? I'm looking....have a few possible leads that I've applied at....who knows...
In the mean time....I tried out this martial arts class last night....
my body hurts.....
I like the martial art (hapkido) and some of the things that are taught....I just don't care too much for the instructor. He's really abrasive and kinda arogant. We'll see...I'm going back on Saturday and I plan on looking around at some other places, then I'll decide after that...

ahhh....green pigs and blue moons....tis a night dreams are made of.....
ok...see that pig in the middle....well scientists have finally made a glow in the dark pig! All my childhood dreams come true at last! Even it's internal organs glow a greenish color....cool! And then for break tonight as I was walking out of the office there was this huge full moon on the horizon....pretty amazing. Well enough of that...don't want anyone to think I have a soft side....

I'm back from Mali.....post some pictures in a week or so when I get them. Nothing much to say, actually I have a lot to say but I'm kinda tired so I'll save it for later. Also, with the aid of my room-mate....Rascal escaped last night before I returned from Africa! Have no idea where he is....he has a collar with a phone number so hopefully someone will call....sadness!

Well...having a Xanga...I guess this is the place and time to put New Year's Resolutions: (Besides...I'm at work and have nothing better to do)
Mental Resolutions: Apply for grad school (and get accepted) and possibly take some technical skill courses at the community college
Physical Resolutions:
1) Lose 4 inches on the pants I wear (I'm not concerned about actual weight so much...that depends a lot on strength)
2) Bench Press 400 lbs
3) Squat 1000 lbs
4) Military Press 300 lbs
5) If I have time and money maybe take a martial arts class
Spiritual Resolutions: Learn how to tithe 10% of my time and not just money (2.4 hrs/day)
Social Resolutions: Make myself available to more people (I know...that's really vague)
Financial Resolutions: Pay off all my debt (not including school loans)
Career Resolutions: Start volunteering at Wonders of Wildlife museum or somewhere where animal care taking is involved
Feel free to hold me accountable....

something amusing since ironically I was just asked to stay late and work extra hours since someone called in sick....
The population of this country (the US) is 273 million. 140 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the work. There are 85 million in school. Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government. Leaving 19 million to do the work. 2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied with killing terrorists. Which leaves 16.2 million to do the work. Take from the total the 14.8 million people who work for state and city governments. And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work. At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals. Leaving 1,212,000 to do the work. Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work. You and me. And there you are sitting on your butt, at your computer, reading jokes.
