This week...in Springfield....
Well, it has been an interesting one. On monday when I woke up I had a little mishap with my loft. I stepped on the ladder and it decided to lay down on the job. As the ladder crashed to the floor I caught myself on the edge of the loft. However...the loft is carpeted....and it is 5 feet high. I didn't just want to drop the remaining 2 feet to the floor because there was a ladder there which I could twist an ankle on...needless to say I attempted to slowly lower myself the remaining two feet. Unfortunately...as I shifted my weight my arms slid from their resting place on the carpeted loft and I did the nestea plunge onto the ladder....
Later that day I slipped on a concrete porch after one of my deliveries and kinda bounced down 4 concrete steps on my back and posterior.
Needless to say...it was a rough day that I am still feeling....I guess it wasn't too bad in the end...I was able to get up after the falls...
Today was a very interesting day....I got to listen to Dave Roever speak at a luncheon to honor war veterens. For those of you who don't know who Dave Roever is...well he is a vietnam vet that lost half his face and was terribly scarred on one side of his body from a grenade going off in his hand. http://www.daveroever.net/
Check out his web site....he is an amazing speaker with an awesome testimony.
