  • TGIF....

    it's the weekend....

I'm excited....because in one week I will no longer be working two jobs....

I'm looking forward to lots of free time to do things around my house....

I'm looking forward to having a normal schdule....

    yes...life is good...

  • ahhh...the weather...

I must be getting old...I find the weather more and more interesting each day.

Yesterday we set a record high of 91 degrees.  That is the second time already this year that Springfield has set a record high for the day.  (Ofcourse these are "records" for only the recent history of recorded temperatures which only goes back 100 or so years) Today the temp dropped 11 degrees or so and it has been a beautiful day.  Gotta love spring weather....

Other than that....not much going on!  Going to Jamaica in 3 weeks from today....

    That's kinda exciting!

  • Here is a picture I posted a long time ago....cracks me up every time I see it....

And a variation on that poster.....

Have a happy easter and safe travels....

    I'll be here....

  • This is the guy that burglarized Evangel...and then burglarized the village mart....and then later last night he supposedly burglarized another place across the street.  I think this guy is looking for free room and board for 20...cause he's headed that way!

Anyways...any evangelites see someone like this...call the office and we'll check it out.

  • Exciting times at evangel...chasing a burglar around campus.....

and xanga has some new beta version coming out with new features...makes it feel kinda like myspace or facebook....other than that...got nothing new to add...

Oh yeah...got my insurance check for the bumper...it's a blessing in disguise.  I'm going to use it to pay some bills and then later in the year when I catch up with things and have some extra money...get my bumper fixed...if it lasts that long in the first place.....

  • This is the Flag of Scotland...

ok right now everyone take your hats off and put your hand over your hearts and let us pay homage to this glorious symbol with a moment of silence....

    What?  You think I'm kidding????

  • So like normally I'm busy...but only because of work...so nothing new and exciting.  Well today is something different new and exciting...

I was in a car accident....

Some lady rear ended me at a stoplight.  Ugh....it wasn't bad though.  There was like no damage what so ever to her vehicle and mine the bumper is basically ruined.  Bad thing is that it's a big inconvenience...lost time (rush hour=more tips) at work...will lose more time at work cause I have to get damage estimates and take my jeep to the garage to get it looked at.  The possible good thing is that when they give me money for the bumper and I can just use whatever 5 cents they give me to put towards some bills....

    So yeah...that was exciting...sorda...

And tornados are on their way....more excitment...

  • so....life is good....busy but good.  My dad came to town last week and that was nice to visit with him during my 5 minutes of freetime I have during the week.  Titus the dog is doing well....my dad liked him so much he wants to get a great dane now.  I want to get a female eventually and name her Cleopatra.  Titus and Cleo.....anyways...so nothing to exciting to anounce in the life of me....

going to Jamaica in May for Joel and Leah's wedding....(that's exciting)

to pay tribute once again to the creators of one of my favorite websites....here is a sample of their brilliance that just brought joy to all of us here.

  • been busy...come back later...

  • This week...in Springfield....

Well, it has been an interesting one.  On monday when I woke up I had a little mishap with my loft.  I stepped on the ladder and it decided to lay down on the job.  As the ladder crashed to the floor I caught myself on the edge of the loft.  However...the loft is carpeted....and it is 5 feet high.  I didn't just want to drop the remaining  2 feet to the floor because there was a ladder there which I could twist an ankle on...needless to say I attempted to slowly lower myself the remaining two feet.  Unfortunately...as I shifted my weight my arms slid from their resting place on the carpeted loft and I did the nestea plunge onto the ladder....

Later that day I slipped on a concrete porch after one of my deliveries and kinda bounced down 4 concrete steps on my back and posterior.

Needless to say...it was a rough day that I am still feeling....I guess it wasn't too bad in the end...I was able to get up after the falls...

Today was a very interesting day....I got to listen to Dave Roever speak at a luncheon to honor war veterens.  For those of you who don't know who Dave Roever is...well he is a vietnam vet that lost half his face and was terribly scarred on one side of his body from a grenade going off in his hand.  http://www.daveroever.net/

Check out his web site....he is an amazing speaker with an awesome testimony.
