    Happy Saint Patrick's day!

Saint Patrick was the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland who is credited with bringing christianity to Ireland. Most of what is known about him comes from his two works, the Confessio, a spiritual autobiography, and his Epistola, a denunciation of British mistreatment of Irish christians. Saint Patrick described himself as a "most humble-minded man, pouring forth a continuous paean of thanks to his Maker for having chosen him as the instrument whereby multitudes who had worshipped idols and unclean things had become the people of God."

  • Nothing new...I wake up..go to work...get off from work and go to work again...go home...go to the gym...go to bed....but occasionally I find some really good nuggets of truth and humor all wrapped up in a single delightful package...such as this....

  • Have a bad day???  Well maybe this lovely motivational poster will cheer you up...

  • The port deal in America....

2003 - Just above 16,000 murders were committed in this country.

2004 - Again above 16,000 murders were committed

These numbers don't include attempted murder or any other violent crime.  They don't include accidents or negligent murders either....only will full intended murder.

Note that around 40,000 people die on the roads every year from alcohol related accidents.....

And we're concerned about a foreign country owning operations in US ports where US citizens will be employed....

Yet we kill each other like crazy every year.....

Is it just me or does it seem like people are just plain stupid?

Mad men kill 3,000 with planes...we go to war...

We kill 40,000 with cars and alcohol....we shrug our shoulders and let the courts deal with it....

America is a country devoid of reason and logic and run by partisan politics, media, popularity and consumerism.....

Then again...I guess every country in the world is probably devoid of reason....we just do it in style....

  • Interesting times....South Dakota has outlawed abortion except when the mother's life is at risk.  I don't expect this country to become a conservative Christian nation....however it would be nice if the laws atleast reflected the views of the people more...since we are a "democracy."  Perhaps SD's ruling will lead to abortion laws that are in the middle of the road atleast instead extremely liberal like they are now.  So....now is a good time to pray about this issue.  Perhaps these changes will sweep across the entire nation and lives will be saved....

    perhaps...

  • Thanks to the people that came over last night...it was fun being able to see everyone.  Sat around...chatted...had snacks....watched the Blues Brothers.  Everyone got to say farewell to Trey...then Trey and I went to see Ultraviolet.  It was pretty much a horrible movie...just really poorly done.  Oh well...win some and you lose some.  Then  Trey left early this morning and is on his way to Spain right now.  So yeah...I'm a bit tired right now but I had fun last night!  Stay tuned till next time....

    Fridays at Ferguson's

    Check out this link....really interesting!

To those of you who read this article and start wondering what exactly the government is doing or other countries...I say:

STOP: what are you doing?  Start with yourself first.....and find ways to challenge yourself to do more.....

    NOW....challenge others!

The world needs more Bonos, Billy Grahams, and Mother Theresas who pour their lives....and then pour out some more...and then when someone asks them when they will retire...they pour out even more.  Challenge yourself...challenge your friends....Together We Can  (haha...corny evangel fund raiser campaign quote)

  • Two guys I know (one who is a good friend) are going through some hard times...please pray for these unspoken requests.

Let us not forget we are but children in our Father's hands who need His touch daily!

Also....I'm considering going back in to the Army within the next few years....we'll see.  I think I'm going to hold out for more money   j/k...but I am considering about re-enlisting eventually....
